edit introduction
The son of an actress and a writer, Jack Murray got his first on-set experience when he co-starred with R.H. Thomson and Fiona Highet in Paul Fox's short film "Home Game". After deciding to focus on school and a potential hockey career, Jack got back into the world of acting in his high school drama class under the guidance of his teacher Mrs. Naomi Savage. Through his teachers connections with the Soulpepper Theatre Company, he opened their mentorship programs talent showcase where he got rave reviews for his interpretation of Hamlet, and was soon signed with Paul Hemrend of Edna Talent Management. Jack has appeared in various productions both on stage and on screen, from feature films "The Prize Winner of Defiance, Ohio" and "This Beautiful City" to TV hits such as "Flashpoint" and "Beauty and the Beast". The Montreal native has also written and produced several short films including "28 DayZ", and the upcoming "Unbury the Biscuit". Jack lives with his girlfriend and dog in Toronto where he studies with Lewis Baumander, and is currently filming the new Netflix/Shomi/CityTV show "Between".
